Our Colleges are at the heart of life at Durham. From day-to-day activities to special events, there are so many ways to make friends and have fun, while increasing your skills and experience. We have invited members of our Colleges and Student Experience Office to speak to you in more detail and explain what it means to have College membership.

Careers - Where Can My Degree Take Me?

Our careers experts are here to help you understand where your degree can take you following the completion of your chosen course. It doesn't matter if you have no idea about the direction you want to go in, or have a specific career in mind already, during this session we will be able to provide you with lots of useful information and advice. We will also have alumni on hand to share their professional journeys with you since graduating from Durham.

Understanding Postgraduate Funding

Completing a postgraduate qualification at Durham University requires commitment to your studies right from the start. We recommend budgeting for student life well in advance to make sure that funding issues are not a barrier to you getting the best out of your experience. During this session, Raj Singh, from our Funding Team, will guide you through the costs and funding options for postgraduate study. Please note, this session is primarily aimed at students from the UK, although all students may find some of the advice on budgeting helpful.
