Key Information

There’s a wide range of activities and support services available for you to explore during our Open Day. You can book an academic session via the form or website. Everything else runs on a drop‑in basis, giving you the flexibility to tailor the day to suit your needs and make the experience personal to you. Watch the recording of our Planning your Postgraduate Open Day webinar for tips on how to make the most of the Open Day.

Let us make you an offer!

At the Open Day, prospective postgraduate taught students in their final year or who have completed their studies will have the opportunity to be considered for a provisional offer from our Admissions Team. If you meet the entry criteria for your chosen postgraduate programme, and your programme does not require an interview or further academic assessment, you may be eligible for a provisional offer. Where appropriate, confirmation will be sent by email on the day, allowing you to apply with greater confidence.

Further details will be shared ahead of the event.

Open Day Guide

To make the most of your time with us, take a look at our Postgraduate Open Day Guide, which is designed to help you map out your day and explore everything on offer. We will also have a session and location guide for you to use on the day of your visit.

Accessibility

If you or any of your guests have accessibility requirements, an Accessible Guide is available to support your visit. This includes information about available assistance and how to access our disability support services. We also have talks and drop-ins taking place throughout the day - please check out our Open Day guide for more information.

Additionally, we have a Durham University AccessAble website which outlines the accessibility features of each of our buildings across the site. You can filter this based on the buildings you wish to visit on the day.

Luggage

Unfortunately, we are unable to store any pieces of luggage during the Open Day. We recommend leaving luggage at your hotel accommodation, where possible.

Quiet Room

We know that Open Days can sometimes feel overwhelming, with busy spaces and lots of information to take in. A quiet room will be available throughout the day at the Palatine Centre for anyone who may need some time away from the main event.
