Will I be able to visit any departments or speak to any department staff?
Individual departments tours will not be incorporated into our Discover Durham Tours. If you are interested in this, please confirm this on the Postgraduate Discover Durham Tours sign-up form and we can contact your department directly to see if this is available.
Can I bring a guest on the tour?
Yes, you can bring up to two guests with you on your tour. If more guests are joining you on your trip to Durham they are welcome to undertake the self-guided tour using our Durham University Tours app. They may also like to take advantage and spend the time at an attraction or take a break at a café - check out all the city has to offer at this is Durham.
How long will the tour last?
You can cancel or amend your booking using the link in your confirmation email. If you can no longer make your tour, we would be grateful if you could cancel your place to free up space for another prospective student.

Who will run my tour?
Your visit will start at the college and by led by our college staff and then the city tour element will be led by our Durham Student Ambassadors. Please ask them any questions you may have about student life, their studies and advice about how to make the most of your experience as a student. If you have any questions relating to specific programmes, admissions or student services please use the Ask us form.
How should I prepare for my visit?
If you would like to do some preparation in advance then we have put together a Helpful Resources page to help you prepare for your visit, however, this is by no means 'compulsory' reading material, so all you really need to do is turn up and we'll take it from there!
