Checking In
We don't have a central check-in point during the Open Days - this is to allow you the freedom to start your day wherever you choose!
However, we've included information below about the different ways you can check in to the event to let us know you're here!
Please note:
Once you have checked in to the event, you do not have to check in again at any point. We do not require you to check in to any of our individual sessions throughout the day.
Download our Event App in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
We will send you a login for the app via an email 48 hours prior to the event. Keep an eye out for this so that you can get logged in and ready for the day.
The app holds lots of useful information!
As well as checking in on the day, it also includes the opportunity for you to put together a personalised schedule and browse useful resources such as our Open Day Guide.
To check in to the event on the day - go to the app and select the 'Event Check-in' button. This will allow you to scan our event QR code to check yourself in. The QR codes will be displayed on posters in and around our general, departmental and college buildings.
2) Via Your Personalised QR Code
You can use a personalised QR code to check in to the event. On the morning of the Open Day we will send you an email with your own individualised personalised QR code. You can go to any of our staff (wearing blue event polo shirts) or student ambassadors and ask them to scan your QR code to check you in using our staff app.
We will then scan your QR code using a phone or tablet and within seconds you will be checked into the event. If you have any issues then the staff member will be able to search your name to check you in from a list of attendees.
3) Via a manual check-in process
In the Reception area of the Teaching and Learning Centre there will be a desk on the right hand side with someone available to check you in.
All you will need to provide is your name and we will make sure it gets sorted for you!
