Discover Durham Tours
Monday 23rd October - Friday 27th October.
Discover Durham Tours are a great way to see Durham, both the city and the university.
Tours take place each day between Monday 23rd October and Friday 27th October. They begin at one of our undergraduate colleges, where you'll receive an introductory talk from a member of college staff followed by a tour of the college by current students. As our tours are during the academic year, it may not always be possible to show you a student room as they're occupied, but we will show you the college facilities and talk a little about the college ethos.
Our wonderful student ambassadors will then show you the main University site taking in some of the sights of the city. If you wish to see a particular area of the University please let your ambassador know and they will try to work this into your tour as we try to make our tours bespoke to the needs of the attendees.
Tours begin at 1.00pm (BST) and last approximately two and a half (2.5) to three (3) hours depending on what attendees wish to see. The tour will normally finish on Palace Green in front of the cathedral. You can, of course, leave the tour at any time, just let the ambassador know.
Please note that Discover Durham Tours will not incorporate tours inside of individual departments or meetings with academic staff.
